I completed a 6-month work placement at Sarvin, a Manchester-based sustainable luxury womenswear brand. My role focused on PR and marketing, where I gained hands-on experience across multiple areas of fashion communications.
I managed the brand’s social media platforms, creating and scheduling content aligned with Sarvin’s tone and aesthetic to boost engagement and brand awareness. I also created email marketing campaigns, wrote blogs to support SEO and storytelling, and handled influencer and stockist outreach, securing collaborations and maintaining professional relationships.
A key highlight of the placement was independently planning, styling, and directing two brand photoshoots. I oversaw the entire creative process—from sourcing models and locations to final production. The imagery was used across Sarvin’s social media and digital marketing.
This experience helped me strengthen my skills in digital marketing, content creation, influencer relations, and project management, while also teaching me to thrive in a fast-paced, creative environment.
I had the opportunity to assist Denzil Patrick at London Fashion Week SS26, supporting the team over a four-day period leading up to and including the day of the show. In the preparation stages, I was involved in creating the model board, sourcing and editing imagery for model references, and capturing behind-the-scenes content to document the creative process. I worked closely with the styling and production teams to ensure everything was aligned with the designer’s vision.
On the day of the show, I worked backstage assisting with model changes, helping ensure each look was assembled and styled correctly under tight time constraints. I also offered general support wherever needed, from last-minute adjustments to assisting with the smooth flow of the backstage environment. This hands-on experience gave me a valuable insight into the logistics, teamwork, and attention to detail required to bring a runway show to life, and further developed my ability to remain calm, organised, and proactive in a high-pressure, fast-paced setting.
